Independent Study

Short Term Independent Study is for those students who will be absent from school for three or more consecutive school days, which allows them to complete the work they normally would have completed in the classroom. All the laws and regulations that govern “regular” independent study apply to Short Term Independent Study. The Educational Services Director must approve extended absences longer than 14 consecutive school days.

Students can do a single day of independent study. This must be requested on or before the day of absence.
